The technology stack

Kommun sits on the Brevity framework — an in-house platform we've hardened over years of production workloads. The stack is deliberately modern and boring:

• .NET 10 for the API and business logic — strongly typed, fast, and predictable at scale.
• Angular 20 with standalone components and zoneless change detection for the web app.
• Real-time messaging so owners and administrators see changes the instant they happen.
• Cloudflare R2 attachment storage on AWS S3-compatible buckets — durable, encrypted, audit-ready.
• Resend for transactional email — meeting reminders, contribution notices, receipts.

Everything is containerised and cloud-deployed with the same operational rigour we bring to our other high-throughput products.

Why we built it

Condominium administrators in Malta juggle spreadsheets, paper receipts, WhatsApp groups and a patchwork of tools that don't speak to each other. Owners, in turn, have limited visibility into where their contributions actually go. Kommun was built to collapse that stack into a single audited system — one where administrators can run a block cleanly and owners can see the paper trail.
